 If you prefer a quieter spot, take a seat at one of the tables right by the water. From there, you can watch the fish swimming around in the harbour, and if you reach out your hand, you can touch one of the boats that may have caught your dinner.

 The kitchen
-----------

 For more than seven hundred years, Brač was part of the Venetian Empire, and the Venetians had a significant influence on the island. Our idea of good food and many of our recipes are therefore Mediterranean – from crudo to risotto and homemade pasta to braised octopus.

 The taste
 of the Adriatic
--------------------------

 However, all our ingredients come from the island and the surrounding sea: sweet prawns, succulent sea urchins and plump oysters from the rocky coves, fresh fish and calamari from the Strait of Split, and the delicious, famous Brač lamb, which grazes on salty pastures throughout its life. Organic vegetables, herbs and olive oil come from our hotel's own farm.

 Executive Chef
--------------

 Executive Chef Ante Udovičić has worked in Croatia's finest establishments and has also taken a look around to see what others are cooking, for example at Noma and with the Rocca brothers. Ante is a fanatic about product quality, a master of the grill and willing to put in the hard work for good food, turning modest ingredients into something extraordinary – such as his famous Brač lamb tripe in tomato sauce.
