A visit to Modra Špilja, also known as the Blue Cave, is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. It takes about two hours to reach Modra Špilja by boat. However, as the journey takes you through unspoilt nature and the sun reflects beautifully in the crystal-clear water, the crossing time flies by.
When we arrived, we treated ourselves to a delicious lunch at the beach bar in Beševo near the Blue Cave. After a wonderful lunch, we set off for Modra Špilja. We were particularly lucky because we had the Blue Lagoon all to ourselves. We swam into the cave and were immediately fascinated by the blue colour reflected on the walls.
The sunlight reflects off the sea floor, bathing the entire cave in breathtaking blue light. The water glitters with a silvery sheen. The day came to a perfect end as we watched the sunset on our way home.
