Olive Oil Museum
in Škrip

My partner and I are passionate cooks, and when we heard about the Olive Oil Museum in Škrip, we organised a trip there with Jelena's help. The Olive Oil Museum in Škrip showcases the traditional olive oil production process on the island of Brač and has been run by the same family for generations. Josip Krstulovć and his family founded the company back in 1864.

The story

The museum displays olive mills and presses, spindles for screw presses, bags, chimneys, kettles and all the traditional utensils used for transporting and storing olive oil. The fourth generation has now taken over the family business and is eagerly continuing the family tradition of olive oil production. In 2014, the family was awarded the bronze medal for their extra virgin olive oil. The distance from Sutivan is approximately 17 kilometres, which is a 20-minute drive.
