Ferry town of Supetar

Behind the horseshoe-shaped bay near Sutivan lies the ferry town of Supetar. The beach and the mausoleum, which is depicted on many postcards, can already be seen from the ship. In the car-free old town, natural stone houses with whitewashed roofs line the harbour basin. The palm-lined promenade is home to many small, cosy cafés and restaurants that invite you to linger.

Old Town Supetar

On a stroll through Supetar, you will discover the beauty of the ancient, intertwined houses with their bay windows. Walk south along Ul. Ignjata Joba from the harbour basin and you will come to a library, recognisable by a bronze female figure called ‘Aleqorija’. On the first floor of this building is the Ivan Rendic Gallery, which is well worth a visit. Supetar is only 9 km away and can be reached by car in just 13 minutes.
