Croatia’s most beautiful hideaway is open again!

Connoisseurs particularly appreciate the spring days on the island of Brač. It now shows its more tranquil side. When the lemon trees blossom and, together with bougainvilleas and hydrangeas, fill the air with their enchanting scent, there is a special atmosphere in the air. It is one of new beginnings, fresh starts and anticipation. The latter can already be felt at Hotel Lemongarden in the days leading up to the start of the summer season. Our staff are already looking forward to when things finally get going again.

Although the hotel was officially enjoying its winter break, it was anything but quiet. Quite the opposite! Hand-blown chandeliers were polished, the floors were brought to a high shine and the handcrafted furniture was freshly varnished, whilst in the gardens, a helping hand was lent to nature’s tidying-up efforts. Many people were hard at work preparing the luxurious adults-only hotel on Brač for its guests. Fresh paint, repairs where necessary, numerous new plants, fabrics and details ensure that the house – or rather, the houses – shine as magnificently as ever. After all, that’s exactly how we know the Grande Dames to be in real life!

The kitchen team has put a great deal of creativity and passion into designing the new menu: as always, the focus is on fresh produce sourced directly from the island and, in some cases, even from our own gardens. After all, the latter are not only beautiful to look at, but also provide us with fruit, such as lemons, vegetables, herbs and wonderful olives, from which we make our own olive oil.

Guests not only see this attention to detail and commitment to quality; they can feel it too. The hotel’s rooms and suites are as elegant as French country houses, as magnificent as a Venetian palace, and yet as authentic and charming as the fishing village that Sutivan truly is. And not just when the Lemongarden Hotel celebrates the start of the season.

The weekend of 30 April is a very special one. That’s when we’ll be celebrating the start of spring with a sparkling champagne reception in the Lemongarden Lounge Bar. As the sun slowly sinks into the sea and traditional music from the local Klapa Morbin drifts through the night air, the day couldn’t end more beautifully.

1 May is all about wine and indulgence. At an exclusive wine tasting, our guests will discover the finest wines from the Stina Winery. Naturally, we’ll also be serving regional specialities and providing lively live music to accompany the occasion. The following day, we’ll set off on a guided hike up Vidova Gora, the island’s highest point. Along the way, we’ll also discover olive groves, local history and the famous limestone quarries. The evening concludes with a concert by soprano Danijela Pintarić.
