Early Bird

Book your autumn holiday now!

It’s sunny and hot outside, the air smells of freshly mown grass or the neighbour’s barbecue, and the evenings are balmy. In short: it’s summer, the height of summer. Who wants to think about autumn? Or even book an autumn holiday this early? Understandable, but there are actually a few very good reasons why we should already be thinking beyond September.

The best time

In our minds, the grey mists and rain clouds that so often accompany autumn still seem a long way off. But looking purely at the calendar, there are really only a few weeks left. Experience shows that most people book their holidays three to six months in advance. So if you’d like to get away in late September or early October, now is the best time to book. You currently still have a wider choice, but there are already special autumn offers from airlines, travel agencies and hotels. Don’t wait until you have to settle for whatever’s left or your favourite room is no longer available. The early bird catches the worm!

Looking forward to autumn to beat the autumn blues

In autumn, several factors come together that can really dampen your spirits. For one thing, the long summer holiday is over. For many people, this causes a dip in their mood. Those who already have their next holiday to look forward to can counter this low with a healthy dose of anticipation. On the other hand, the sun shines less in autumn, which is why we generally lack vitamin D. This is important not only for bone health but also for a stable mood. Anyone who feels slightly melancholic in autumn can try to counteract the low mood with vitamin D supplements and plenty of sunlight. Or simply go for ‘the real thing’ and fly off to the sun.

Autumn Highlight at the Hotel Lemongarden

Here’s a suggestion: why not come and stay with us at Hotel Lemongarden? If you book your autumn holiday now, you can look forward to sunshine, golden autumn light and perfect temperatures for outdoor activities. At the same time, a sense of tranquillity descends upon the island of Brač – a tranquillity that has enchanted every guest.

However, things will be a bit livelier in the olive grove at Hotel Lemongarden from 22 to 26 October 2025. That’s when the popular Olive Festival returns. Our guests are warmly invited to help with the olive harvest in the grove and press their own olive oil. This not only creates very special souvenirs from Croatia, but also plenty of memories to last a lifetime. Learn everything there is to know about olives and enjoy connecting with nature.

Speaking of indulgence: there’s certainly no shortage of it at the Hotel Lemongarden, in any respect. And certainly not when it comes to fine dining. Alongside the olive harvest, we also celebrate the island of Brač’s wine-growing tradition. It has a long history here and is deeply rooted in the region’s heritage. Discover the wines of the Stina Winery at a tasting – naturally accompanied by other regional specialities. Excursions into the countryside, a festive champagne reception, live music, lunch on the terrace of our charming stone house and a festive closing evening on the Riviera are also part of the programme. Take a look at the programme and see for yourself!

Tip!

We’d be happy to pick you up from Split Airport and take you to the harbour near the runway. From there, it’s just a 30-minute scenic and comfortable boat ride before you dock right in front of the Lemongarden Hotel in Sutivan harbour.
