3 old manor houses

The best things only get better with age. At the Lemongarden, you can stay in one of the three lovingly renovated Sutivan houses, all over 300 years old, located just a few steps from the sea and surrounded by sun-warmed herb beds, flowers, and ripe figs.

The houses

Ilic, Definis & Vesna

House Ilic is located diagonally across from Helena Ramsbacher’s private house and is the largest of the 3 houses. Some rooms here look out over the sea, others into the paradisiacal pool-garden with huge, ancient palm trees, flowering lemon trees, and bougainvillea. The garden facade is covered all over with blossoms in summer. The rooms here are just as colorful as the garden in Mediterranean yellow and green.

House Vesna stands proudly on the harbor promenade of Sutivan. If you arrive on the island with our private hotel boat, you will be right at the house. The rooms here are especially large and bright. The design is inspired by the sea right outside the door: a strong coral red is the main color here, and the elegant shape of coral adorns the walls and textiles.

House Definis is in an idyllic location somewhat tucked away in the heart of Sutivan with a small private garden where you can pick ripe figs in summer before heading back to your room or suite. For the rooms, our designers were inspired by Mediterranean herbs such as thyme, lavender, and rosemary.
