Blue Lagoon Šolta

On an especially hot day in August, we planned an excursion by boat. The ladies at the reception desk has told us about the neighboring island of Šolta. We enjoyed the ride by boat to Šolta and then continued a little farther to the Blue Lagoon on the island of Drvenik. It immediately reminded us a tropical oasis. Veli i Mali Krknjaš was formed by two islands and is a splendid place to spend a relaxing day.

The crystal-clear water is so clean and pure that you can see the fish with your naked eye. You can also easily see straight to the sea floor. We love the sea, and the Blue Lagoon was thus the ideal place for us to dive, swim, and relax. We ate lunch on the southern side of Šolta in a small, traditional Dalmatian restaurant right on the sea. We enjoyed wonderful, freshly caught fish. On the way back, we marveled at fields of lavender and olive groves. This was the perfect end to a breathtaking day.
