Olive Oil Museum in Škrip

My partner and I are avid cooks, and when we heard about the Olive Oil Museum in Škrip, we organized an excursion there with the help of Jelena. The Olive Oil Museum in Škrip presents the process of olive oil production customary on the island of Brač, and it and has been run by the same family for generations. Josip Krstulovć and his family founded this business in 1864.

On display in the museum are olive mills and presses, spindles for the screw press, bags, fireplace for heating water, and all traditional tools for transporting and storing olive oil. The 4th generation now runs the family business and diligently continues the tradition of olive oil production. In 2014, the family was awarded with the bronze medal for their extra virgin olive oil. The distance of the museum from Sutivan is around 17 km, which is a 20 min. car ride.
